First Day

Today was the first day of the internship program at the Career Center. At first, I felt slightly intimidated as I was with two people with extensive amount of knowledge about many coding languages while I just had 2 years of python experience and limited knowledge about Linux in general. Luckily, no one really knew much about the electronical parts worked when using the arduino boards so there is one thing I can learn with others on. I was very excited to learn more about how to use micro Python to experiment on the pyBoard, but unfortunately there wasn't wifi available and with having only one Ethernet cable we could not get much done. Overall, I learned some functions involving the pyBoard and with the help of Randy, learn more about how GitHub works as a whole. Hopefully the wifi issue gets fixed soon so we could figure out more on how each part functions.

  1. Your Python experience is going to come in real handy, since that's the only language the pyboard speaks. I hope that the connectivity issue is resolved soon. It is possible to use the public library next door, which has much better Internet connectivity than the school system does.

Please be sure to document your progress regularly on this blog, and include lots of screenshots and code listings!
